Hi,
I am applying for immigration presently. iam 28 yrs old , married. earning
45,000rs monthly in delhi. by the time i will have got immigrated iam 33. iam pretty confused now. because i know few couples who had had good jobs in india, migrated & now working at gas stations . At the same time iam so lured by the idea of settling abroad. My father is well settled in london for 25 yrs though he never called me(Kind of abandoned me,what an irony) so are my uncle & aunts are settled in australia sweden & usa. Since my childhood i have been listening to common stories such as roads are clean , people are honest, comfort level is much higher than india. so dear CDs help me with your precious advice.
regards
reens

Hi Reens,

I'll be very honest with you. I'm a NRI for the past 8 yrs...my husband for 10 yrs. In these yrs we have traveled and seen many countries but to tell you the truth...nothing is like India. Ask all desi's they might be making 20 times more in Canada/US but still the heart is in India.

We got our Canadian PR in May but still plan to relocate to India in near future. If god blesses may be by 2010. For my kids sake. I've many friends who lived outside made money and are now back in India. A quote from my economy teacher (from school) tells me to come back:

"It is better to be a FIRST class citizen of a THIRD class country then a THIRD class citizen of a FIRST class country" and India now a days is no THIRD country. It's upcoming as one of the fast progressing nation and many expatriates are returning back.

If you are making RS45000 monthly...+ if you have a earning spouse...the life is bliss in India, By 33 when you get your PR your salary will be twice then the current. This all is only my personal opinion. Our personal circumstances forced my hubby to be out of India that might not be the case with others and they can differ from what I'm saying here. I'll suggest you come on a vacation to Canada or US and see it before you make any decision.

Take care………………..Jona

Reens this is not the right thread for this conversation. Besides, don't know what your/your spouse's occupation is. If you are making 45K a month in India, don't come to Canada.

Hi Reens,

Go ahead apply your immigration and forget it. You won`t be investing much
(just 1 months earning for now) . Dont dream of settling abroad continue grooming your carreer here in india.

Now, lets assume after 5 years, you get a PR visa YOU CAN STILL LIVE IN INDIA. YOU ATLEAST HAVE A CHOICE OF ACCEPTING PR OR LEAVING IT.

But if you don`t apply now, you will never have that option. Besides once you get PR you have lots of time to think, you can plan 2~3 visits and then decide for yourself.

Everyone has his own preception about everything you see around,
some people hate one thing while others love the same. Jona has her own oppinion about canada and india, you have the right to have your own oppinion. After all you just get 1 life, see the both worlds.
