I have got PR and planning to start in November 2007 but i am confused whether to go to Toronto or Vancouver. I don't have anyone in Toronto but i have got one friend in Vancouver.

Which city is having lot of IT jobs ? I have exp. as Programmer (VB, ASP, Oracle ) and also i have learn SAP BIW and web designing.

Is it suggested to come with family (Spouse , 9 yr Daughter) or shall i come first and than look for job and after 6 months call family.

My wife is Nurse here in India but not B.sc. Nurse., Is there any opportunity for her to get some form of Nursing or healthcare job.

In general, Toronto has a higher demand for IT jobs, esp. in the technologies you mentioned.
There are a lot of financial services and other service-oriented industries in Toronto, which creates the demand for app-dev technologies like ORACLE, VB and ASP.
Of course, Vancouver might work better if you already have contacts who can provide you references or job contacts.
If you plan to search for jobs on your own, Toronto has a higher demand in general.

December usually is a lean period for hiring, should you want to start work immediately after landing it would help to establish work contacts now it self.

Yes, in Nov. you are staring down the barrel of winter.
Hiring slows down and it also gets difficult to get around, esp. if you are not used to winter driving conditions.

Arriving even one month early, i.e. early Oct. can give you an advantage.

But if Nov is the best you can do, don't be discouraged - you can find part-time or contract jobs during that time too.
I have noticed that most companies are running low on their annual budgets at that time and prefer to hire contract workers rather than full time employees.
