If Mobile is purchased in India & bring to Canada,
does it need to be unlocked in Canada, any idea?

Can it get unlocked in India itself.
How to confirm if Mobile is lock or unlock in India

Please let me know ASAP

I am not sure if mobile's in india are also locked to a particular operator/carrier.
Few years ago they were not locked so one can use any SIM(airtel/hutch/...) in to a mobile.
so i dont know whats the situation now... you can always call your carrier and find out. and for sure if its locked you can get it unlocked there ..dont know for how much..
here in Canada you can get a mobile unlocked for $10.
