I'm hoping people can share their experiences about rustproofing their vehicle... would you recommend it?
How much does it cost?
I live in Ontario--- lots of salt around in the winter
Thanks

Walmart does it for $79.97 for full body and $39.97 for underbody
if you want to take care of your "Gaddi" you have to get some make-up for her. i get rustproofing from "Krown" and it's really gud. ohh n they charge $109 for car.

IT dosent matter what year the car is:
If you do not plan to drive the car during winter then you DONT need rustproofing. (e.g if you have a summer car like Corvette/Z5/etc)
If you have a new car and plan to sell the car in 5yrs or less then you DONT need rustproofing.
Dealer rustproofing is the WORST kind of rustproofing you can get.
The best Rustproofing you can get for your car is Krown
If you have a new car then do it annually for the first 2 years and subsequently do alternate years. Follow the same process for used cars.
If you have space/time/inclination them you can go to stores like Canadian tire and by T40 rust proofing liquid, a pressure guna nd apply yourself

I am pasting an opinion on rust proofing I found in another forum (which I think applies for the newer model cars):
Some very large car manufacturers (MBZ, GM, etc...) officially warn against
aftermarket rustproofing. Reason: the holes that are drilled to inject
the rustproofing damage wiring harnesses and other important automotive
systems. Modern cars seem to have ample rustproofing and warranties
to backup their claims.
I think rustproofing falls into the same category as "miracle"
fabric protectors and paint sealers. The dealers make incredible
profits on them -- you could get the same results with $10 of chemicals.
Keeping your car washed and waxed, and washing out the underside of
the car a few times a year (especially when road chemicals and water
are present) will do more to prolong the life of your car than any
one-time treatment.
