This is crap. I really wonder how could the guy (or gal) have appraised the house just by looking at the front and maybe sides of the house. Even to view the sides of the house they may have to tresspass onto your property.

Well, there /are/ drive-by appraisals that appraisal companies do for the purposes of valuation.
This one sounded like that.

The questions that went unanswered were that what was it different that this appraiser found that I had not reported in my description that led them to believe insurance risk was higher.

I knew it was BS, but didn't make a big deal out of it at that time - it was only $4 extra a month.

But when they raised by car insurance premiums a few months later, I had enough and dumped them.

What I found with SF is that they are fine as long as you have an unblemished record i.e. no claims, accidents, tickets, etc.
The moment you have any of these, they will price you out - what good does that kind of insurance do?
