Thanks all for your inputs. I am still discussing it my agent if something can be done. At the same time, I am planning to check with other insurance companies to see if I can get a better rate.
Though I may have to wait for another 1.5-2 months before I get a better rate as in that case I would be completing 5 years on my license.

I understand when many people complain about premiums going up and one quote is given and after few months a new price shows up on the policy.
Your premiums donot depend on the seller.
You need to remember that..
I have seen many sellers give incorrect information but important thing is you give out all info before hand.
Insurance for Vehcle depends on
*The car you drive
*Your Driving Record ( Tickets and Accidents) Dont forget to tell your agent/broker everytime a police officer stopped you or everytime your vehicle bumped a plastic bag flying on the road.
*The area you live in.
Another important thing is donot forget to mention any non payment cancellation you had with insurance companies in the past.
Very few companies will offer you a quote let alone the policy if you have non payment cancellation.
All this is important.
Recently I got a better offer from TD Meloche Monnex (group insurance). I asked my SF agent to match but they could not (as head office decides again 
); so anyway, I cancelled and switched to TD, paying less now and getting far far better coverage (both home and auto)
