Dear CD's,

A friend of mine, a permanent resident wants to get married in India and onwards wants to apply for spouse visa.

What is the procedure for sponsoring spouse and approximately how much time it will take?

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
AAA

Dear aaa,

As suggested by dear Freddie, your friend can contact us before he/she leaves for India to get married.

We can guide him/her through the whole process including filling up the forms.

All these services are FREE .

Best wishes

http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK has all the information

1> Download Spousal Sponsorship forms from cic.gc.ca
2> Fill out all the forms using the guide
3> One of the forms needs to be filled by ur Spouse and needs ur wifes signatures
4> One of the forms will be filled by u
5> Make sure u have wedding photographs.. All contact details between u and ur Spouse before the wedding
6> Write introduction letter on how u got met and married ur wife.
7> get marriage certificate from india.
8> If u have PR return to canada and file, if u are citizen u can mail from india.

The papers are first processed in canada and then the papers are forwarded to india.

Time for entire process
In canada it can take 1-2 months
In india it can take 1month to 6 months

My wifes sponsorship took 6 months.. some have managed in 3 months..
