We submitted docs in Mar'07 ..got the test call for June07 in mississauga. Gave the test and after that no reply till date. It is going to be one year fro the date of test also. When we spoke to the CIC they said we are in que for the judge interview. the only thing in our case is that i work for an IT firm so i had numerous US business trips. But i def completed the 1095 rqrmnt before submitting the application. Becoz of the numerous day trips and the business trips to US they have i think delayed my application presuming that the judge would like to see my ties. We also have kept all the ties/papers etc needed to show to the judge. But now i feel extremely disturbed as havent recvd anything yet from CIC and the status just shows ``in process''
Can anyone in this forum let me know if they had also gone thru this kind of a waiting before with the judge? Pls do let me know..any advices are also welcome. Is there anyway i can now try and expedite /follow up.

I applied in sep07 and had written test in mar08 and oath in May 08. Usually, afetr the test ( if u pass ) it is 1-3 months to be called for oath, as informed by the staff conducting test. They did mention that even if one of the 3 mandatory questions answers is incorrect, you will be almost delayed by an year as you will have to see a judge.

I know thats true but in our case this seems to be a residency question to show ties or soemthing as i had frequent trips to USA. Also now i am on deputation in US so i guess they want to see ties. But really i wanted to know if anyone has waited for sooo long and is there anyway we can get this moving???It really seems tooo long now. Has anyone gone thru the process for so long????????

Hi there...I am in a similar situation to yours; I applied in march '07, was 141 days short of the 1095 reqmnt, however 136 days out of 141 were outside Canada for business travel. I also recd a RQ at the test, sent it in May 07 with all the possible docs, status still shows "in process". Spoke to the local MP who followed up with CIC, was told that there is a backlog and will have to wait till Sept/Oct to meet the Citizenship Judge. Guess we can do nothing but hope and pray...

thanks for your mail. Till we didnt get your mail we almost thought there is noone like us waiting for so long. At least you got the opportunity to show the docs we are waiting since the day of the test. No news!!! but thabks for your inputs..we know now that there is a def backlog that means..

finally our wait for the judge interview is over and we have been called on 30th july for judge interview. I wanted to know has anyone taken a lawyer to the judge interview as we were told they organize everything and put forth the case in front of the lawyer. It helps. has anyone done that till now. Do let us know.
