hi,
I have been waiting for the letter to attend the citizenship test for long time. Recently I came to know that I have intimated twice to attend the test. Unfortunately because of the wrong address all the letter went to another place. I did contact the immigration customer service immediately and corrected my address. They told me to send a letter to explain why I could not attend the test. Can anyone please suggest me? Do they consider my case and schedule another test date? Or they schedule for citizenship judge?
please anybody suggest me. I have been waiting.....
As I heard after missing 2 dates for test, applicant has to meet judge but in your case; if you have valid reason of address change and if new address was informed to CIC, hopefully they will give you chance for sure and will send you date for test. Getting date may take longer than you expect but once you get a date in mail the test date will be within 2-4 weeks.

Meeting people is easy. Having meaningful connections is the hard part.
call them...i was in the same situation. we moved and did not change the address and letter came 2 times. i called them and explained them and they sent me another letter within a week...they were acting very fast between dec 2010 and may 2011..do not know now...
If calling does not help, visit your local CIC office where the oath ceremony is conducted. They usually don't let you in without an appointment (doors are locked), however try to explain that you need to speak to a supervisor to explain your case. You'll need to be polite, but persistent. Supervisors have a lot of authority and can probably give you a new date on the spot if they agree with your case.
I know a case personally (slightly different, but needed a date change) in which they were quite understanding and helpful.

Visit the test office and obtain a Phone number to contact which will Re-schedule a test date for you. No one will accomodate you to write a test at any office without a valid apointment for test. YOUR FILE WON't be available or accessible by them if there is no apointment.
