The problem with citizenship application is that after the test the call centers have next to no updates for months , sometimes almost 15 to 18 months, it is all deemed to luck if u manage to get the info saying one has passed and other has failed..
Thats why making a choice to split applications early might be better choice..

Don't be judgemental in advance. Each case is unique. CIC do considers age, education, knowledge and capability of applicant, based on provided info on application. You should wait until cic makes decision about partner's test result.
For multiple aplications, cic do process seperately but all have to wait for oath untill all applicants are ready to be called for oath same day.
Request for seperating files only advisable after knowing test results. CIC process is slower any ways due to work load, it is hard to expedite no matter what you try.
Incase, if partner has to appear before Citizenship Judge, only she has to answer. You won't have to answer. If she needs comfort, you can joint her only as interpreter with judge's permisson.
Thank You All !
My experience from the other forums is that they do not take any actions on separating the files ( though they will tell you that files will be separated )
I have decided to wait for next 8-10 weeks, as we were told that this is the time frame where successful candidates will receive their oath letters.
If we do not receive any letter in that time frame, then I will ask them to separate my file.
My bad, never should have applied as a family application
Lesson to learn for all who wants to apply as a family application. Apply separately!
Best Regards..
Also, we were told that it will take around 1 year for appointment with the judge, as the centre does not have a dedicated judge

Thank you so much Sant !
Whom do I send the letter ( to my local CIC office, where my file is ? )
I am thinking of two options
1) Sent them a letter for separating applications OR
2) My wife calls them up and takes back her citizenship application ( she is 100% sure that she has failed the test ), and keep her citizenship application. At the time of applying we were even thinking that one of us should retain our Indian citizenship, but I convinced her that we both should get Canadian citizenship !
Just pondering over which one is the best option.

Thanks Sant.
Just wanted to know if it is possible to take back a citizenship application at any point of time.
