You can sponsor any relative. First you should check and see if she can make it on her own merit. For this you have to take the point counts and see the score. That is the preliminary appraisal. See if she qualifies.
Your sponsoring and financial support is an added bonus and will provide her with additional points. If you can find a job for her and pre arrange the same it will carry even more weight.
Only thing you will have to do is wait for a long period for the process to complete. If it takes say SIX years and if you can add the six to the ages of the children, that are accompanying her, and it does not add upto to the magic number 22, then, you will be able to get them all in as a group. If they are students and dependent on her, then, again they will qualify.
