Hello all its a SCAM.

Any one who is dealing with STARTEC communications, please check your bills, they have increaesed there rates double from the original offer and when I asked them why didnt they inform us regarding the increse of rates they informed THEY DONT HAVE TO.

I have cancelled my service and please check you account and question them if they have incresed your rates....There are other companies who are providing better rates for long distance telephone calls.

It would be worthwhile to quote what rates they charged you earlier and what are they charging now when you cancelled. Startec does charge an additional carrier fees.

Their website shows a rate of 5.5 cents for calls to India, which is lower than 6.9 I signed up for.
