Just wondering even if someone knows how to fix it, where does one find spare parts for such items in Canada like blenders and is it really worth fixing?

I don't want to buy those cheap ones as I hav to buy a good food-processor which hav all functions.....dough maker/juices/chop etc etc but that is little later...at d moment i want to chalao kaam with dis one. Here r the details:
Brand name:Kitchen Aid
Motor is working. But when i put the jar on top, the blades just move for a fraction of second nd stops.
Model No. KSB5WH4
Made in Michigan,U.S.A
I donno the year as it is gift.I don't hav the manual.
Kitchenaid Blender KSB5WH4
Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0
Pros: None. A $150 MSRP blender is pretty useless when it burns up after a year.
Cons: Bad product design and even worse customer service.
****KitchenAid Blender Coupling KA-9701057****
This was supposed to be premium blender. However, after just a few uses the black coupling burned up and now there are no parts available. Kitchenaid refused to service the item. Apparently, this is not uncommon in Kitchenaid products these days.

They are located in Colorado area. The time differential is 2 Hours. The price of the part is Six bucks and the postage will be three. Please order enough items. At least two. This thing breaks down often. Replacing is a vitch. Please see if there is anyone who can help you fix it after the receipt of the parts.

Good Luck.
Freddie.
I suppose that that the problem is with the carbon brushes. You need to open the under cover and change the carbon brushings in the motor. This is a simplejob for an handyman. The brushings should not cost more than 7-8$. Before buying, try if the motor works by interchanging the brushes. The symptoms of wornout brushes is motor works intermitently, works for few seconds when tapped.
I donot know who sells the brushings here in canada.
