Hello, lets here some original ones. If someone wants to take a day off work what excuses can they give their bosses so they believe them. The night before or in the morning......

1) I am stuck in the blood pressure machine down at Wal-Mart.

2) I sprained my wrist cooking dinner in the microwave last night.

3) I didn’t want to be late for work again today so I called in sick instead!

Best thing to do is to start acting like you are not feeling well "a day before". Drop a comment here or there in the right ears (Boss, resident gossip kings & queens in the office etc. etc.) so when you do call in sick the next day, it's kind of expected and doesn't raise any red flags

That's what I always do. Trust me, it works.
