Sub: Help needed for File transfer from Berlin to London just 29 days left for interview in Berlin-Cannot travel to Germany because of Visa issues.

I am living in UK on a work permit. I applied for PR from Germany in 2006. I moved to UK in 2007 and i am living here for the past 20 months.

When I moved to UK, I gave my friends address as Care of address to Berlin CHC for the letter correspondance.

I got a interview call on October 2nd week. But my Germany visa expires on this month end.

I donot have any chance to extend my german visa this year, because i already extended my visa twice. I exceeded the maximum limit. Moreover,i don't live physically there.

I made one mistake , so far i forgot to get UK police clearance to Berlin CHC. I should have submitted that last year. But i send all my 1 year UK payslip to gain extra points for work experience to them.

Considering the above facts, I think i cannot travel to Berlin to attend interview.

It would be grateful if you could answer some questions or u can give some tips.

At this stage, Should i transfer my file to London CHC (just 29 days left for interview)?
or
If possible,Can i ask an interview in London CHC?
or
Is there any possiblity of getting an interview waiver by explaining my situation?


It would be grateful if you could suggest some ideas and answer some of my questions.

Hello mailtobala,

Please send them a fax stating that you have a change of address. State that you are employed in U.K . Apologize for the inability and the short notice.

Also tell them that you tried to obtain a Visitor visa - Tourist Visa to attend the interview. Give them the particulars and the details of the correspondence with the fax.

Now ask them to reschedule it to a date in Future. Also tell them if you can avail it at a location that is convenient to you both. Let them suggest the venue.

FAX all of the details to the address and phone numbers provided. If you do not have it in the letter, first take a shot at their website. I know it is there.

Then, if there is a fax number to which they can send back a response, please give them the details and wait for them to tell you with a new date and place.

Just a question about proof of funds.

I am showing funds from 3 different UK banks.
1.Tax-Free Savings account
2.Instant Access savings account in 2 different acconts.
and 3. Current accouts for Salary credits .

I have 1 or 2 years statements for those.

My interview is Scheduled on 20th . I already got the required statements now.

I Cannot get another statement after 14th Feb due to time constraints.

Is it ok to show 1 year or 2 years statements till 10th Feb?(Interview date-20th feb, traveling a day before)

If at all, I get a bank statement in the branch after the statement date there won't be any stamp or letter head on it.

I will contact you after preparing my FAQs for interview.
