try tis recipe. I have tried many of this guy's recipes but not mattar panner. They generally turn out good.

I am always confused by the word 'Authentic' - can someone please explain? Who defines/declares authentic?

To me whatever tastes good and you feel like having again, is good enough. When we have restaurants and food industry try to give 'ghar ka khana' or 'maa ki haathon jaisa swaad' and have moms and wives trying to achieve 'hotel jaisa swaad' - what do you believe is the more 'authentic'?

Being is Canada, I would define authentic as 'Taste like I had in India'.
At most of the restaurants here, the recepies have been modified to canadian taste. Sometimes, Gravies are same for two different dishes.
Tandoori chicken, Biryani here is different that what I had in Chandni Chownk.
This holds true for Mandarin. Chinese origin people have often told me about this. Pizza is not the same , what most of the Italian eat.

I guess anything you or your mom cooks here (desi food) is authentic.
