Hi folks this is my first time here friend of mine refered me this site and really this is the excellent work who ever did it...
I am expecting my test soon cic shows they sent me the letter but I have not yet recive the letter by mail actually my question is I have lost my passport it is mandatory to show it on the test day coz it will take another 15days to get new passport I have all other IDs landing papers,PR card,Driving Licence,Health card,sin card ...so it is mandatory to take the passport on the test day or we can show other other IDs...
Any body can help me who got the test letter "is there anything mentioned that passport is essential on the test day"

You should contact the CIC centre where you have to go for the test and discuss it with them as you are supposed to take these documents with you when you go for the test. I am quoting these things from the letter I received for my son, who is going to take his test tomorrow (8th March)
1. The notice (letter) to appear for the test.
2. Personal identification, preferably one of which has your photograph and sinature on it (e.g. driver's license, health card etc.)
3. Your original documents that support your citizenship application (immigration Record of Landing (IMM 1000) OR Permanent Resident Card (PRC), Passport, birth certificate.
further it says, that if you do not attend this test, you must call Citizenship and Immigration as sson as possible.

In fact this letter has your name, address, your file number, your application ID and the date of your test with the place you have to appear for the test. Hence, you should contact them and ask for their suggestions as you can use PR card instead of Passport and IMM 1000 but what would you use instead of this letter?.
I hope you have time for it and they will send you another letter or may be the first one could be under mail and you will receive the same in time. In fact, in my own case the client status showed that the letter has been sent but I received it 10 days after the date it was sent. So, nothing to worry much if you have more than 10 days for the test.
