Wow ...i'm surprised by few replies. i don't know why desi' get so sentimental when someone talks about these delicate topics. i think we all are grownup's here and if someone need help (no matter what kind it is) can't we just help them or politely guide them in a right direction.

You do have the best of the intentions. But consider this - a new member joining a forum which don't have any dating related discussion currently, starts off a topic which can be controversial - at the least, in the sense that there is no straight answer. On top of it, he/she is looking for a 'safe date' - through a public forum he/she just joined!!! Will you be looking for a 'safe date' among the members of a public forum who don't even screen the members - all you know is a nick name!! ? To put an icing, a end statement "mail me if ur shy!", which sounds more like the spam emails I get everyday!! Sorry, but it sounds more like a 'fun initiative' than a 'serious one' to me. I am merely requesting people to be a little more mature about this and not give it a cheap twist. Every member comes here for a reason...and one of those many reasons could be trying to find a companion, a date. As I have stated earlier, dates CAN be consensual and PURELY platonic. Do you understand that part? I don't want to come off as being condescending...
