Mishtar,
I really like the way you are handling this and I would like to let you know that I have learnt from you how to handle provocation.
What goes around comes around and I admit I have a role to play in what I see as some of the negative energies seeping into Cdesi. So I take reponsibility for my role in how I made some other members feel, alternatively playing the role of provocateur and the provoked. I was not in the most positive of mindframes, the last few days(the perils of being an artist ) and the negativity must have seeped into some of my writings, giveing them more of an edge, making matters worse for those already feeling wronged against. I apologise for the same.
To those who helped me grow and overcome my demons (for the time-being...they always come back )I thank you for being a part the experience. That would be ALL of you without exception.
Peace, Love, Respect & laughter (pass the Bong/chillum

Mishtar,
I wouldn't take this too personally (or should I say I havent ?). There are two kinds of people in this world.
There's people like Chandresh. Chandresh has highlighed problems with Canada in many a post. However when confronted, he's always used valid arguments and strong reasoning to further his viewpoints, instead of rhetoric. Arguments with him have never degenerated to the gutter level since while arguing with him, you never forget that you're really on the same side and the objective is to help people and not to prove your point right. And he's got the grace and the maturity to feel overjoyed and congratulate his fellow desi who achieved success in Canada despite the odds, rather than feel bitter about the "Canada-sucks-all-the-time" viewpoint being proven wrong for once.
And then there's others who may not feel the same way. That's ok, its again a case of differing perspectives and opinions.
The detail and dedication with which you have posted your experiences both before and after getting the job truly reflect on your character, and you can see by the replies to your post how many people it has touched. Even if it injects hope into 1 newly landed immigrant, I think it has more than served its purpose. And judging by the replies, I think its already done a lot more than that.
Speaking of Mr. A and Mr. X, I've personally known a couple of each for some time now(and they're all from India). Rather the case that Sanjeev has created for Mr. X is so similar to a guy I know, we may have a mutual friend. Besides the luck factor though, I've seen that there are other reasons too why Mr. X is still working in the futureshop. I'll write about it in more detail later. And as you very correctly pointed out, life's a see-saw and Mr. A and Mr. X are sitting on opposite ends. The see-saw's always swinging and you never know when Mr. X will be on top again while Mr. A touches the ground.
And to all members. Ladies and gentlemen, We're not getting anywhere by these squabbles. Let's not forget the prime purpose of contributing to Canadiandesi, however it is we do it. It is to help prospective immigrants start a new life in Canada in the best possible manner, to educate them about the ills and the benefits of migrating. Naturally we all have differing views based on what we have seen, but I think it helps if we all stay objective rather than attack one another personally. I think its time we move on.

What can i say Jake you said it all .
No one knows the future...Mr A could be back in trouble and Mr X could accomplish more than his dreams ...so is life... full of surprises.
But one common attitude wich will keep both Mr X and Mr A ticking ... is to --never give up-- no matter what ...
This is what Mr A learnt when he left india with hardly any money not so long ago .... i am sure Mr X and many more got a better start in life than mr A.
Life is full of surprises friends ...take it as it comes and never give up... and you will never look back.
I think positive attitude does play an important role. I guess it is difficult to be positive day in and day out when things are not going your way, but I really admire those who keep their spirits up with the hope that their dream will come true one day.
