Scamming the scamster ...lol !!
Here's what I do to put a quick end when I suspect a scamster on the other side ....
'Saab to ghar mein nahin hain ..main unka naukar bol raha hoon ... Koi message hai ? ' ( translated to English of course )

Fido.
Generally I do not take the telemarketers for a ride as they are after all doing their within the boundary of law but this guy and his company is clearly a scammer so I had no guilt in playing him.
It was tough to drag longer playing both the role of victim and as not one.
Anyhow some due diligence requires to isolate the genuine one. Got to wait until pay mow art to confirm.
Incidentally a lot of the CRA agents I spoke with were of Indian origin and first gen.

The weak died on the way,
Only the strong arrived.

Well, I answer the call this way: Hi, Joe's Pizza, can I have your home phone number starting with the area code.
Telemarketer: Well, I want to speak to Mr or Mrs so-and-so
Me: No, No, this is Joe's pizza, I can take your pizza order.
...and I hear a click...the caller just dropped the line.

Hi ,
Just an update -
2 days back I watched & heard on CBC news @ 10 regarding the CRA / CBSA scam and the scammer even having the audacity to state on the phone line -
'Canadians are foolish people .They are giving us $10,000/- every day '
Again perhaps in the news paper today I read that the scam artist impersonates CRA /CBSA / Hydro One / RCMP / Toronto Police and warns about accounts being frozen or id being confiscated unless you make an immediate payment .
The call appears to be coming from a legible phone number ...
Please , please be very careful and spread the message in your social networks - when in doubt , ask them to mail the notice to you at the address on the file and if you receive anything in mail , follow it up on the correct telephone number on the internet .
Incidentally the caller on the CBC news also had a thick desi accent ... a little bit towards S Indian accent.

Fido.
