if some one is in EI can he go on a vaccation ?

You have to notify EI of your time away., They will temporarily stop paying you until you return.

You may think 'how would they know"..but just as an FYI - any EI claimant can be asked at ANY time to demonstrate they have been job searching by producing a record of their job search.

This does not apply to those who are on maternity or other compassionate leaves.

What about parental EI and going to India?

me .. have the same question as meitsme... and anybody who sailed the boat to india / abroad while on the parental EI, can pitch in their views of cons and pros please? Thanks

You can go out of canada in mat leave.
