Hi All,
My wife recently got laid-off and her EI has been approved. We are planning to visit india for 6 weeks. Do we have to tell them that we are going out of country?. How would they know that we are not in canada?. Also we are filing out EI record through Internet?.
Can anybody advice me on it.

Yes. You should inform them that you (your wife) would be away and not actively searching for job during this period which is one of the conditions to get EI. They will start (restart) paying EI benefits after your return from vacation.
And for God's sake do not even think of not informing them about your absence from the country as it would come back to haunt you later.
