If a person has been sponsored by someone in canada and meanwhile he gets a visit visa to canada while his PR is in process. Extension of visit visa is also rejected so he decides to stay in canada till his PR is approved and file gets transferred to India. Once this is done and if he goes to India to do the medicals and get his PR....
Will he be denied his PR in India since he overstayed his visit visa?
Question?
Canada does not have an exit immigration system so how will the canadian authorities know as to how long did he stay?
pls advise..... Just Curious..
Samna,
These Canadians are very clever. They will find the exit date by looking at the passport to see when the person landed in India. The entry stamp of the Indian entry will be there.
Before, people whose countries stamped in arabic used to escape the mandatory PR card rule ( six months max outside Canada in a 2 year period) by lying to the immigration officer in Canada that they had just been outside of canada for less than 6 months when they might have been there for more times. I am sure that they would have pulgged that loop hole by now. anyways, now a days they are allowing 2 years outside Canada in a 5 year period.
Peace by TK
