Hi,
I was working in Michigen for last one and half years. Now I am lay off from work. Am I eligible for Unemployment Insurance from Michigen or EI from Canada.?
I searched on internet for this question but didn't get a straight forward answer.
Did anyone go through this kind of situation?
Please advice

It's an insurance. You claim from who you paid your premiums to?
Did you had "EI" under your deductions on your paycheck?
If yes, who was paid? Canada? or US?
It's that simple.
