I came to canada on a work permit on August 29, 2004 for a period of 11 months. My wife and a one and a half year old kid joined me on Jan 29th 2005. I rent an aprtment for which I get the receipts.I have MSP and a bank account with BMO right from the start.
Now,
1) Do I file my return as a deemed resident or a non-resident?
2) Can I ask for a refund for child care/rent/moving in/CPP/Unemployment insurance?
3) Where can I find a relaible knowledgeable person to do my tax refund and for how much? Or can I manage it on my own?
waiting for a helpful reply.

Go to block counter in any mall and you will see it . They may charge you 20$ for this . If you have stayed 11 months in Canada , you are a resident ..

I stand corrected , but you will file as a part-resident but not as a non-resident

The best source is your own company where you cam e for work. Infosys people had complete info and the company does give complete support.
You may not find any info except at cra.gc.ca site. You may have already checked here.

My suggestion.... do it yourself with your company's help.
