I am planning to apply for OCI for an infant.
The OCI is asking for thumb impression of the hand of the infant.
Does any one know as to where I can find it?
Last time I searched in the Walmart of Kitchener and could not find it and hence I used the sponge of a black marker for the thumb impression but It did not turn around well (though the Embassy accepted it).
I am travelling to Mississauga tomorrow afternoon and if by that time any CD has information as to where it is sold, it would be highly appriciated.

Peace by TK

Asking for the infant's thumb impression is the biggest joke in any case.. Just put some ink in his/her finger and press it. Indian consulate accepts anything... :-) (Btw, If you are particular for stamp pad, Staples have them (atleast the one in downtown near US consulate had them))

Viggy,
The last time I tried everything under the sun but everything turned out that it became like a blot of paper. In my last try the person was 2 1/2 years old (and hence the finger prints would be well defined) but now this time the person is only 45 days old and hence I really want something defenite. The last time, I even thought of putting my litle finger thumb print as the infant person's but then did not do it. This time I canot be running after the VFS 2 or 3 times as I live around 100 kms from there and hence want to do it perfect.

Thanks for the answers. (Viggy and Desi # 1 at this time). I will try my luck in those stores.

TK might probably looking for the stamp pad as we use in India, thats not very common here. Instead, look for replacement pad for pre-inked rubber stamps (that we use to mark faxes or correspondence for dates). You can easily find them in Staples and Dollar stores.

Another option is to visit Walmart Photo studio or any photo studio who offer passport photos and request them to let you use thier ink stamp pad for 1 impression. I am sure no one will refuse. Then you dont need to buy the ink pad.

Good Luck.
