By the time you start saving you are already hobbling around and time to retire. Forget about saving. I forgot about it a long time ago. Maybe once in a few years you can afford to visit relative in India and with the rest of the pocket money you have left you can do some shopping and come back. Hey we have taxes here. The more you earn the more you pay the less you have in your bank. With your present background you will not save. But then you are young and have plenty of time to make it. All depends how you plan your future. Good Luck.

hi fiend,
You should know a fact about canadian earnings before you make a decision.Incanada40% of the employees make less than 20000.00cdn per year
which is just enough for survival. In the begining an immigrantt earns around 1000.cdn.Thinktwice before u take a decision

in my view, there is no saving in canada unless u r making 70000 plus per annum whioch is only 1% . The only savings can be buying a house or apartment and paying its mortgage payments

IMO one can save the maximum if he/she is working in the Gulf countries...esp. Dubai :)

Tsk..Tsk.. Chandresh , It's a pity that you can't see the humor in cynicism.

This country's immigration application form should have the following message in bold on the first page....

STATUTORY WARNING: DO NOT COME TO CANADA WITH THE IDEA OF MAKING MONEY. THE ODDS DO NOT FAVOUR YOU.

If you have marketable skills but little or no money... DO NOT COME HERE. Go to US/MiddleEast.

If you have marketable skills and good money and one or more of the following...

1. Kids
2. Old parents.

then come here..

Enjoy our free education , free medicare , OAS , GIS and safety. Do not come here to make money. If you make money VERY GOOD. You have been lucky.
