Dear Friends,
I am new immigrant here and want a sincere advice from you.
I came here about two months back. Here I saw a lot of professionals are doing odd jobs.There are people who have come here about 2-3- years back are still doing odd jobs to survive.But a few people are lucky who got good jobs.
I am also a graduate engineer with 10 years experience in plant maintenance.Presently I am on Leave from my job in India.My family is also in India and my wife is also working there in India.We both are having good jobs over there.
We both are earning about Rs. 40,000 per month.

Now you all please suggest me that I should STAY here or GO back.
As here one has to go for odd jobs for at least 2-3 years & no job security.

Please vote and advise.

It was my vote to "GO". Though there are many good things here, one thing is missing, that is peace of mind. you are already earning 40000 per month in india then why you need to stay here?

Were you unhappy with life in India? Are you willing to struggle here and spend a few years rebuilding what you already have in India?

If not then its a no-brainer. I think you should go back.

We Indian land in Canada for money only, which is scare inIndia, rest everything family, friends, society, love, food, home, and hearts are big in India.

If U were earning Rs40,000/- in India U were in top 1% of indian population. Here U R in last 10%.

R U ready to spend your life to cover this 89% social gap???

I think U should go back to India..

The situation for everybody can be different. There are push and pull factors to immigrate.

From your case it seems that you still like your job at India and from the beginning you very doubtful that you will get job in Canada or not, that's why you didn't resign from the job!

Struggle is going to be there. That is why we are here. Immigrants have to do hard work and that's why they always succeed. Have you seen any desi who is here for more than 10 years and without house?

It means we achieve what we are looking for in pardes - money. So evenif you are earning 40,000 in India you should consider Canada, BUT FORGET that you will have life for few years - you have to work hard.

So, in my opinion you should stay here. (It is easy to advise, so you are the best person to decide!)

Look at some polls on this site - you will realise when people are getting jobs, what they are getting ...
