I have some important files in FOLDERS used in PC

I want to make password protected, is it possible ?

I am using Windows XP. I tried right/left click, don't see any options

All this FOLDERS are in USB memory stick.

If password protection is not possible for FOLDER,
can I make USB itself PASSWORD protected ?

I have USB memory stick from IMATION

Can some one share informtion ?

Thanks

right click on the folder - click sent to- compressed (zipped) folder - right click on zipped file and click on explore - In “File,” select “Add a Password.” Enter the password and confirm the password.

I use a freeware 'TrueCrypt'. The way it works is different but the end result is what you need.

Thanks All,

KM, the option you suggested is not working
When I right click, found only 4 options.

they are General, Sharing, security & customise
No where it says anything about password

But option what nishant suggested, it works

Thanks again all

Any suggestion for Password protection for USB itself ?

I don't know of any such a product that is "sold separately", per se, that will allow you to lock your external enclosure with a password but things like password protecting specific folders and files can be done as I suggested...

Yes, what you need is an encrypted USB key.
I have one from Kingston brand.

Other brands may have similar products as well.
