This is the information given by my boss. If you are using your credit card or debit card, please make sure no body is around using their cell phone. They can easily take pictures of not only your card number but also the password you are using.
Be careful.

The three digit number on the reverse of the card is required to transact. The other two important things required are the card number and the validity date mentioned on the card. So, if the camera captures both the front and the back details, it could put the card holder in serious trouble.

hmmm... most of the cell phones with camera can record videos too.. 7250i , 3600 and new Samsung phones. so I think if one is typing pin on ATM machine it can be easily recorded after taking snap of the CC, or some thing similar to that.
simranali,
That is quite possible. However, you would need to do the recording from close up, for the numbers to be spelt out clearly. And i don't see how you can do that without a person smelling something fishy.

For credit card, that person would need all the details on front and back of card to transact on internet.
For debit/atm card, would need the card physically and PIN to transact.
Some guys bribe cashiers in some stores or gas stations to install a "chip" in the card reader machine that records all the details of debit/credit card and then make a duplicate card with electronic information. I have read about these in newspapers in India and Canada.
