Thanks for replying guys. I am looking for jobs in CAD/CAM/CAE or any projects related to mechanical Engineering. What kind of pilot projects are these ? Is it kind of INterships, Co-ops or voluntary work? Please let me know the details. Also if you have any consultants dealing with Mechanical/Design industry kindly let me know.

its basically you obtain work permit ...after one year of stay in Canada on Work Permit, you can easily get Permanent Residency along with your family (spouse & children)

Well thanks for the reply.. But for work visa i think i need a sponserer which is hard these days.. Do you guys know any consultancy which do this....

So what is your intention ? looking for job or getting into Canada?
For new applications(after Feb 28, 2008) if you are from one of the professions listed in http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list then you are getting approved for PR within a year (from India). For older applications (before Feb 28, 2008), the wait time could be as long as 5+ years if you applied in India.

I am a Mechanical Engineer 5 years experience, Master of Science from USA. So i think i will be listed in that list. But how can i apply from India? Do you know guys or companies or consultancies doing that in India. If yes please let me know so that I can keep it filed.

I think your job code is 2132 http://www.ontariojobfutures.ca/ojf_search.asp?lang=e&search_string=mechanical+engineer. which is not on the list at CIC given above in my post. Engineers are restricted occupation, so before you start working in your field, you will have to qualify. You will have to check with PEO http://www.peo.on.ca/ to see what it will take before you start working in Canada. Also http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/English/how_work_engineer.asp
You do not need to apply from India. I only gave approximate time taken to process from India. Applications from other places may be faster compared to India.
