Hi

Did you mail your passports to your friend in Canada and have him send it to the embassy?? I am thinking of doing similar but from New Delhi (me in Canada, and send my PP to my dad in India as I apply from ND), but I am scared what if they call me for an interview after they have the passports...

I am yet to send the Pps to Canada. I will be doing this my end of this week. Later i will share my experience here for sure.

Thank you very much for your advice so far.
I had successfully sent our passports to Canada with help of my friend. He inturn sent the passports to Consulate in NY. Hope i will be getting my PR in next 30 days.

Now my concern is:

I applied PR under arrangement employment scheme. But unfortunately i lost the offer that i received 16 months back due to too much waiting time.

Now my question is , Will they ask for proof of arranged employment again at the time of port of entry?
I had enough funds in my canadian account to show proof of funds if they asked for any , but how to handle the situation if they ask for arrangement employment (offer letter ...etc).

Please advise.

P.R. with arranged employment calls for a letter with proof that you are entering Canada specifically based upon that letter and there will be a letter issued to that effect by your employer and he would have stated that in his letter, with a blanket approval for that job. If you have claimed that in your application as an entry based upon "Employment Permit", then you will be asked for such a proof. I am sure you have gone through this process once.

Now having lived here under those conditions and completed the process, your application will be evaluated on the basis of you qualifying for the PR, but with a continued employment there or with the proof of funds. You know what was stated in your application. They would have verified your application based upon the statements made and you now qualify for the PR.

So, take it in stride. Enter as a P.R. after the Passport Gets stamped and is returned back to you. Together with it you will receive a COPR and that will permit you the entry into Canada. Follow the instructions provided to you along with the Passport.

Hello Every one!!

First of all i would like to express my sincere thanks to all who really helped and guided me at various points.

Finally, i received passports back with Immigrant Visa and other documents.

But , unfortunately, my spouse passport number is in correctly entered in her immigrant visa page ( one digit is missing in between ).

Could you pls advise if we can proceed to move to canada with out correction (or) do i need to send her passport back to Newyork for restamping.

Pls guide me!

If every thing set, we are planning to move in MAY end.

Contact them and ask for the Officer who wrote that letter, by name, and inform him about the discrepancy. If (they) he says proceed to the P.O.E. and they will correct it there, then you know have the COPR to land do the correcting at that time.

You are all set for your travel, after that.
