We are planning to move to Scarborough as currently where we are living in Brampton; we didn't like the standard of PS in that area. Since last two years my daughter is going to private school, which is expensive. Another reason to move is to cut down the Go train expenses as I work in Toronto and have to take TTC and Go both.
I was going thru the EQAO results and selected few schools and Agincourt Jr PS‎ at 29 Lockie Avenue, Scarborough, is one of them. Considering the fact that the middle and High school will be needed in another 2-4 years for my daughter, I Agin Court has Middle and High Schools also close by having good ranking.

Does anybody in the Forum has any experience or knowledge about how good is this Location to live?
How good this school is other than the EQAO ranking?
Are there good apartments available within the boundaries of the school?

Thanks in Advance.

Think twice before moving to Scarborough (Srilankan and Caribean gangs). Lots of crime especially in the Malvern area - Decent appartment on Victoria and Sheppard or the one next to fairview (be careful of birds) - I have moved from Scarborough last year and very happy in Mississauga even i have to quit a well paid job.

We searched a lot of Apartments & areas in Scarborough/North York..and finally setlled near Sheppard/Don Mills...Agincourt would be pretty accessible....North York is a bit expensive but area/apartments are much better that Scarborough ( again specifiec areas may be better/worse)

Though to go downtown, one would have to take 2 subways (depending upon where do you work....I am referring to Union Station or anything on bloor line), if you live near Fairview Mall.
