I used to pay 106 per month for 15 years old civic car and no claims or demerits points still they raised the rate on the renewal papers

there is a note which says "Important information about our auto insurance permium "

i guess 400 millions profit last year were not enough for these vultures

if anyone knows cheap auto rate plz put that info on this forum

Try and get a quote from a broker who has a lot of Insurance companies to choose from. There are a few who want to provide a wide variety of choices for their clients needs and try and reduce the premiums for their clients. They are called Independent Brokers. The rest of them are only for the specific named companies, such as AllState, TDMelocheMonnex, Kinetix, Statefarm, Co-operators etc., These specific named companies cannot quote you from other firms. Hence there will be no choice. But you will get an idea as to what it might cost you from the most expensive firms. You also can expect great services too, from them.

Here is a website that will give you a list of Brokers who can provide you with a quote over the system and if they are very close by, you can drop in and get a personal contact at their offices. Choose one close by where you live or work. Most of them are M-F operators and only a few are hungry for the business and then again, they don't work after Friday afternoon, as golfing interferes with their work.

If you can commute and use public transportation, then declare the usage as Pleasure use only. The premiums will then drop down a lot.
