auto insurance $325 a month: can i do better?

I have been with TD and paying 230 per month for 2009 camry - lease.
Now i talked to them since i am moving, it goes to 260 per month.

I cannot afford 260 so I checked with johnson and getting 180 per month...see the big difference?!

I do the same living in Windsor. Fill up gas in Detroit area. Few people fill up at duty free much cheaper.

If there are so many people frustrated about the high insurance cost (that includes me who after coming to Canada is living here without a car, because of the prohibitive cost of insuarnce), how about opening a car insurance company by desis. So that we get good quotes and coverage. I am sure this will be a good venture. It will be good by not getting our blood sucked, and using our own money in a better way.

This is all in an effort to make transit city/transit GTA successful. Given the fact government has invested so much money via P3 Infrastructure projects.

The government & the smart people working for them want to ensure Transit as the method of forced choice for majority of working class people who travel to & fro from Work to Home.
