Well dude, if you are skeptical about giving your DL number to an insurance agent while shopping for car insurance, I don't even wanna arguee with you about common sense.....
Its good not to advice someone if you dont know or if u are not sure of something .
If you do not provide necessary documents to a police officer you are just buying additional trouble.
