Meghal this is being going on for many years. Indian news channels show a dotted line in J& K at POK and Aksai chin. And forign media show a dotted line between India and rest of J&K. I have a feeling even the India News in OMNI in canada also does it and irony is it has Indian news anchors. We as people and also the govt have no influence on Google or news channels and it is disgusting to see our leaders' silence on such important issues.
You and I know it is wrong because we drew colourful Indian maps showing rivers, mountains and states as kids in school which had J&K as integral part of India. I can imagine today's kids drawing Indian map with these dotted lines/solid lines totally confused as to what is real. My point is it is a serious case of degeneration of nationalistic feelings for our country from generation to generation. Now it is left to you and me to teach our kids that what is shown in these maps is wrong and draw the real map and explain to them why it is so. But how many of us really have that kind of nationalistic feelings and think we need to pass them off to our kids?
This is an example just how continuous & unopposed false propanganda can change boundaries between countries without having fired a single shot across.
The cut out map is as old as 4-5 years ago. I used to volunteer at one of the vaughan libraries under the reading buddy program. My 11 year old student told me they draw china map with J and K involved when we were reading a geography book as I said J and K is a part of India.
It doesnt surprise me to see all the "Made in China" globes with pointers say "Kashmir" not India, when pointed at it.
Maybe we have already lost that part of India according to national statistics thanks to our dear old neighbours.

why cant you as an individual viewer write to them ?
if everybody writes to them then they will update their maps .
