Hello,

I am Planning to take admission for Post Graduation 1 year co-opt in Canada. I have been provided first with the course list and then the college/university list.

My Background
===========
1] MCM - Master in Computer Management
2] 6 years experience in SAP ( Technical ) work experience with good MNC companies
3] Have MCSA & PMP certifications

Courses Offered for Post Graduation
========================
1] PG International Business
2] PG Business Administration General
Please suggest if there are any others that would be good considering my professional background. Any course that is in demand and assures good placement.

Colleges/Universities
================
1] Centeenial College
2] Sheridan College
3] Fanshawe College
4] Niagara College
5] British Columbia Institute of technology
6] St. Clair college of applied arts
7] Mohawk College
8] Humber College
9] North Atlantic College
10] North Island College
11] Red River College
12] Nova Scotia Community College
13] Capilano University (Very Expensive)
14] Confederation College
You can rank them first 5 to pass out from and having great placement.

I would be really thankful for any replies.

Thank you

Getting a diploma in business from a college is a waste of time and money.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Now I am really scared about the decision. Does your answer mean that getting a degree from University is better ?

OR

Does that mean any college PG degree is worthless, they have co-opt option as well where the student gets to work for half of the education time.

OR

A college diploma without experience is worthless because I do have good experience.

I shall wait fro your feedback.

Thank you

Colleges have good job placement when it comes to programs like nursing, personal support worker, but definitely not business.

You should go the MBA route, McMaster, Wilfrid Laurier , even a less known university is better than college.

No, nursing programs, PSW programs offered at colleges are highly regarded and in demand.

Currently, even many university degrees with no experience are worthless.

Hi Voltrex,

Thank you for the replies.
I have only one choice as a university and that too is very expensive, about 38,500 CAD. Way too expensive for a 1 yr program that too non MBA.

I was planning only for the spring (Jan - mar 2011) intake and I have no relation to nursing or any such career. I am in the phase of transition from a SAP technical consultant to management ( already certified PMP + currently in techno managerial position ).

Obvious intention is setllement in Canada through education as I heard that getting a job without Canadian education is very difficult. If you were in my position what would be your options or action plan ?

Thank you
