Adding to the free advice given by other members (thats what we can give for free).
Have some clothes stitched by your neighborhood tailor and wear them, than the typical NRI giveaway bermudas and t-shirts. All rates from electricians, to plumbers to auto drivers and even doctors go up if they guess you might be from abroad.

Watched lots of cricket in India-SA and Aussie-England matches. Flipping the channels. As the SA test match starts at 2.00 pm IST, that's cool. Aussie match started at 8.00 am IST.

Eating lot of deep fried stuff, pakora, bhajia, etc. May have gained some weight, not sure abt it. Catching up relatives, some of whom cant take it that I have come back for good. Some others were glad to see me back as their children are abroad. That's their problem, not mine. Does not bother me at all.

Need to go to the driving school to enquire reg stick shift driving (may be I am already getting lazy?). Baad mein karenge! Saw some familiar faces in the nearby temple. Some good looking ladies in the area that I was not aware of (just a statement, nothing beyond it). Chocolates etc are done with by kids and their friends.

Nice to read your experiences.

We have one life ... we do not know about the next one. As long as you enjoy the current one to its full ..... what else we need ...

I am sure you will put up some weight.

Thx CDs for your support. Much appreciated. Feels good.

Went around in the car (with the driver) for some errands. Kids liked it. There is a tv inside. Dont know how to operate, kids will figure out later as I forgot the remote at home. Went to the mall, had veggie Tacos and Rava Dosa for lunch. No wonder pants are a bit tight.

Watched highlights of WC 1983 that India won. Cool stuff.

The seniors are very happy as we have all returned finally. I can see their enthusiasm. There is some difference on the +ve side. That's the reason we all came back. They dont care what car I bought. Happy to see me back. Again deep fried pakora and coffee this evening at their place. They all know my diet:)
