I am less worried now as Congress and its pre poll allies have done really well. So they plus the left parties with 50 plus seats can make a government. I am not sure how much seats NCP (Sarad Powar) and Lalu has got, but the government will be basically much stable than expected.

I respect Left parties much more than any of the North Indian regional parties. At least they have some ethics!!

If Congress+ have gotton less than 200 seats that the situation might be different.

I think BJP is still single largest party.

Guys its not at all issue of foreigner becoming PM. She is not at all foreigner now, she is very much Indian.

The issue is, where we are leading our country, She might be good and honest, but what about the cabinet under her.

They are the same old people who has licked our country like "DIMAK"
a nice team of corrupt players (except Manmohan Singh).

Cheers
Raj

GG,

Doesn't help. BJP is looked as anti- secular by the others - I mean parties like CPI, JDU, etc...

So all secular phorces( in chaste bihari pronounciation) from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and other states shall come phorward to phorm Governament. India must be prepared for another round of elections early next year. The new government - yet to be formed wonder shall last more than a year..

There would be a lot of horse trading always and Sonia would be living on the edge...razors.

BJP is ready to sit in the opposition.

If an person born in India can become a minister in Canada, Fiji, Singaport, USA, South Africa - why can't Sonia become the leader of India?

How's that a valid comparision? There's differences between being a minister and being the leader of the country. Can you believe that an Indian can become the president of the U.S.?

Besides, forget for a second that she's Italian born. Exactly what are her other credentials, both political and non?

I guess apart from Ujjal Dosanjh, nobody was Indian born, in the list you mentioned.

Herb Dhaliwal? Deepak Oberoi (MP from Calgary)? Rahim Jaffer (Edmonton)?

There was a prime minister in Fiji who was desi (not sure if he was born in India)

If a born-in-India became PM of Canada, will you question it? I'd rather celebrate!!!
