I recently moved to Richmond Hill - dont know much about the area still learning.
I am wondering if anyone knows of any
1.gujarati vegetarian tiffin service in the area that would be greatly appreciated as cooking is a big hassle
2.Indian grocery Stores
3.Indian restaurants
4.Any kind of good Indo-Chinese or south indian restaurant
kindly please let me know, any responses is greatly appreciated. eagerly waiting to hear from my fellow CD's.

Extremely difficult to find, unless you find some seniors in your area who are willing to provide.

The closest that I know of is Om India at Dufferin and Center Street.
Then there is Bombay Bazaar on Kennedy and 14th Avenue in Markham.

There are quite a few : HOST, Bombay Bhel, Jaipur Fine Indian Restarant - all near Hwy7/East Beaver Creek.

Authentic Chinese restaurants are plenty in each plaza - but I do not know which one serves HAKKA or Indian Chinese.
South Indian - there is one Madras Palace on West Beaver Creek/Hwy 7.
If you can post your nearest intersection, other posters can locate more options in adjacent neighbourhoods.
Enjoy your stay in RH - one of the most Chinese concentrated City in ON.

Hi, There are quite a few Indian Grocers in Richmond hill.
1) Burhani grocers...Major Mac/ bayview (opp. Walmart plaza)
2) Rice and spice (Buttonvile/ 16th ave). here you can ask about gujju food.
There are 2 Indo chinese restaurants that I know.
Asian garden restaurant. Tel. no.905-707-5788
another one is Willys chinese rest. (yonge/elgin)

There is an Indian grocery store NE corner of Yonge / Elgin Mills. Another one (Chennai) at Leslie / Elgin Mills.
