L1 Visa/Driving down to Chicago

Hi,

I will be moving to Chicago on a L1 visa with my family in about 3 weeks time. I will apply for the visa at the border. I have a 2009 Mazda car and have seen conflicting reports on the net stating that I may need a EPA certificate for the EPA whereas the dealer does not think so as it is a new vehicle and hence should meet US EPA standards.

I am assuming you intended to say I-94 at the border and not visa. Visas will not be issued at the border. If you are just taking the car with you as opposed to importing it into the US, you should be fine.
