Hey all,
Just wanted to let you all know about a blog I started earlier this year about wine. If you're looking at getting into wine or want to know which ones to buy when you go to the LCBO, just check out my blog.
I post my best buys once every 2 weeks, and in between I review wines that I've had recently.

I have heard red wine in moderate amount is good. Could you recommend me a good red wine please?

Yes - red wine (in moderate amounts) is healthy for your heart. What kind of red wines do you tend to enjoy - big, strong, oaky versions or something light and fruity?

I prefer someting medium sweet and affordable thats it nothing else matters to me .

I remember the first time i had wine. "Yucks" is what i thought. I drink to socialize and so had decided to stay closer to cocktails than wine. The only wine I really appreciated was Ice wine, the taste of which my buds were exposed to during the wine tour of the Niagara region some time in the warm months of 2004.
But since the past couple of months, I have started "getting" the less sweeter options of wine, so thanks for your blog it will surely act as a ready reference for me.
Not a related topic but in the spirit world for sure, I thought the Esplanade by the waters in dwntwn TO has some interesting beer (another drink I cant appreciate) but the one i had was Cherry beer yumm..

Medium sweet in red wine? That's tough.
You might want to start with the http://www.lcbo.com/lcbo-ear/lcbo/product/details.do?language=EN&itemNumber=239756" target="_blank">Beringer White Zinfandel. It's not red wine, but it's based on a red wine grape, and is on the sweeter side.
I have a feeling you will like Cabernet Franc Icewine also. Not cheap though.

Aaah yes...the seductive flavours and aromas of icewine! LOL It draws in new wine lovers all the time. =)
I think you are referring to the Bier Market. I have been a few times as well and yes - they have a very large selection of quality, imported beers. Highly recommended for tourists too! I recall having a very nice Blueberry Cream Ale at the Pumphouse Brewery in Moncton, NB last summer. It was delicious! Definitely a place to check out if you're ever in that part of the country.
