Some of my recomendations: (Non Indian) without any order
Le Panache, 201 Eddy St, Hull- This is a French Resturant in Hull across the river from down town Ottawa. It is little costly but excellant! (Prior booking would be a better idea)
Hot Peppers, Expressive Thai Cuisine & Wine Bar, 495 Somerset St West: Good Thai Food- close to Indian Thai, i was not impressed with the wine list- but food was good.
Red Lobsters- I'm sure you can get that elsewhere too but since I liked the one in ottawa I thought worth mentioning.
I've a few more recomended names but they are mainly in Hull and as far as Indian resturants are concern I've more disapointing lists than recomended- may be I should try some of them named by others- however i didn't like Ngina and the one after that (which got closed probably in few months- rightly so). But I did like some Indian resturants in Montreal- but not able to recall them if you would still need that I can give it a try in my next post.
Anymore clarifications feel free.

kisi
Thanks a lot to all folks who responded to the request.
I am planning on visiting Ottawa and Montreal next month.
Other than the Tulip festival starting early May, what other recommended attractions which are must see at Ottawa and Montreal.
I may be able to spend only 2 days at each location, hence would be able to cover only important places.
Plus mostly staying around dowtown areas , so any recommended areas to stay or must avoid areas in both Ottawa and Montreal?
