I second Gurram.
I used to think that forcing Hindi on one was wrong and that each person should only be well versed in English to survive.
However, by fate, I landed in a state where Hindi is not a predominant language and I thought that all my troubles were gone. However, most of the contractors are from the north (Construction) and I find it very hard to converse with them, since they know only Hindi. So in this case, some Diploma holders who know Hindi, score over me.
Hindi is a necessity, be it in Canada, India or the Gulf.
