1.OACETT Application
2. PPE
3. CET

Please give information for above three courses i want to know about fee, time, benifit and availability of jobs in the market.

I am new to Canada and really need help in this regard and hope it will be helpful for many other friends who are looking for jobs.

I got associate membership of OACETT and have not yet appeared for exam. Have been paying for its membership every year. When it comes to finding job, it never helped. None ever asked for its membership. All they were concerned about whether I have a reference specially when I did not had canadian education or work experience. I got my first job through reference from a manager at the company where I was working in a field not related to my actual job. All the jobs so far got through references from the work place where I worked to be able to climb up next ladder. There was no relative or friend but only reference from my work place due to hard work and good relation with them.

My husband is OACETT and he passed his electrical and continues with paying membership though it has not helped us in anyway with regards to job. I agree wth damanjit that you get job thro reference/networking in canada. I am surprised how same thing is called influence in India whereas here it is called networking/reference.

All such nonsense should change in canada and vacancies should start appearing in newspapers and everybody should get equal opportunies since we all are immigrants in one way or other in canada.

People have started realising this that there is racism and networking etc and it is difficult to get good job so, they are slowly started moving to home country/middle east.
We feel that canada is like jungle/forest and very backward in such cases.

It is fair enough if they give preference to whites in case of Govt jobs but all other vacancies in private should be filled through newspaper whereby all should get equal opportunity according to their qualification and experience.
