I have received Acknowledge letter from CIC regarding my citizenship applicaition. However, I am planning to visit my parents back home and will be staying there for about 3 months. If I missed my citizenship test date while I am abroad, would it be possible to write the test some othertime. Would this cause any delays/problems in the citizenship process

I think it would take them more than 6 months to schedule you a Test under the current citizenship backlogs
