just curious to know, did you complete ur exam prior to receiving the RQ ?
No, I did my test after submitting my RQ and all the documents to prove my ties and presence to the country.
A similar case here .. Was issued RQ after test apparently for the same reasons as above.. though all my prior RP s were cancelled ....

RQ is not uncommon for the people who have/had work permits from other countries.
They can issue RQ at any time ... I know a person who got RQ after receiving the oath letter.
Some known / unknown reasons trigger RQ. Not a big deal for many cases except delay in the process .... but in some cases it becomes a challenge.

All of the people who are applying for Citizenship should now get used to the RQ from now on. It is becoming mandatory after that date.
Now they have two sets of formats for the questionaire and if they give you both of them, then watch out, how you answer them. Any mistakes and your goose is cooked.
Also from now on, watch where you make your home or live and with whom you associate too. We all are getting sucked into the RCMP watch lists, for NO REASON.
All of this is due to "THEY SAY" security reasons.
Keep your nose clean. THE BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU.!!
