Can somebody please direct us...

My colleague's 21 year old son will travelling to Ottawa in January 2012.

Is it possible to get a decent accommodation or as a paying guest with a decent Indian family?
He will be staying in Ottawa as a co-op student for a duration of 4 months before he returns back home to Vancouver. He is a student at UBC, Vancouver.

Any feedback advice will be much appreciated!
