Finally Dinesh Trivedi rises Indian railways fare after nine years but this is not going to last long. The hike itself was modest at 5 paise per kilometer for sleeper class and 10 paise per kilometer for AC 3 tier. Trinamool Congress is going to replace him and pressurize government into rollback of fares.

Indian inflation is between 10% to 15% a year, so you can imagine where prices have reached of other things in 9 years!

I don't understand why Mamta is crying hoarse about the price increases? Who is going to pay for the inflation, renovation and expansion?
The minister might be gone as Mamta has opposed it.
Mukul Roy might replace him.

Sunny Leone a true Canadian DESI now back in India !.
Dinesh Trivedi from his name, looks like he belongs to Gujarat. The Modinomics idea that there will be no freebies but replace it by excellent services, got caught up with the Railway Minister. He will definitely have no friends in this UPA or find favour with Mamta. Didi is still the opposition leader as far as West Bengal is concerned.

The rumor is that Dinesh did Ctrl+F of "Bengal"and replaced with "Gujarat", in the Railway Budget file and all new investment went to his home state.

Mamta pushed partial rollback may be coming in a few days. Someone commented that she should be made petroleum minister!
Interesting article here how rollback would affect Indian Railways http://www.indianexpress.com/news/why-fare-rollback-will-defeat-rlys-purpose/925894/1
